Abstract: |

Canavan´s and Alexander´s diseases are rare entities characterized by massive involvement and swelling of deep white mater and consequent macrocephaly. Both of diseases apper early in the childhood and may have similar clinical presentation. If the entire white matter in a patient with macrocephaly is involved, MRI differential diagnosis is difficult. Therefore, 1H MRS gives the posiblity to reliably differentiate these two entities. |
