Abstract: |
|
In this paper, we review the basic principles of medical magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and fundamental phenomenology of magnetic resonance, how an MR imaging is constructed, and how its contrast can be manipulated. Magnetic resonance imaging represents a continuing revolution in medical technology and provides detailed images of the human body with unprecedented soft tissue contrast. Because of the innate versatility of this modality, tissue anatomy, pathology, metabolism, and flow are all amenable to noninvasive evaluation. |
