ABSTRACT
At
the beginning, the laparoscopy of the colon was performed as the
hand- assistant laparoscopic procedure. The first entirely laparoscopic
resection of the rectosigmoid was performed on 22. 02. 2001. Laparoscopic
resection of the colon was done in case of 22 patients; conversion
was done and in 5 patients. One right and one left laparoscopic
hemicolectomy was performed, and the resection of the rectosigmoid
in other cases. Anastomotic dehiscence appeared in one case, which
was resolved with the conventional medical treatment. One patient
died in the early postoperative period. With the laparoscopic resection
of the colon it is possible to attain all the oncology tenets, and
the early results are very good. |
